COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR

2.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City to enter into an Access Easement Agreement for property owned by Jimmie and Pauline Giacoletto on South Mountain Road

3.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant of funds in the amount of $50,000 from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation

4.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant of funds in the amount of $50,000 from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection

5.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to submit a formal proposal with the Interagency Permitting Board for designation as an overlay for the land owned by the Pittsfield Economic Development Authority

6.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City to accept a donation in the amount of $30,000 from the Trustees of the Berkshire Athenaeum for renovations to the Local History and Reference departments

13.     A public hearing on a petition to amend the City Code, Chapter 23, Zoning to reclassify a parcel of land north of Gamwell Avenue from IL to R-12 and two parcels north of Gamwell Avenue from IL to RM

14.     A public hearing on a petition to amend the City Code Chapter 23, Zoning, to reclassify land at 55 Spring Street from RM to BG

COMMUNICATIONS FROM CITY OFFICERS AND BOARDS

15.     A presentation from Superintendent Darlington with regard to a petition from Councilor Ward requesting information regarding graduation rates and school choice as well as information on long-term planning to address these issues

16.     A petition from Councilor Costi to amend the City Code, Chapter 9, by adding a new section to prohibit food vendors within 30 feet of a licensed food establishment

17.     A petition from Councilor Kerwood to support legislative efforts to decrease age eligibility for senior tax exemptions and support an increase in the maximum exemptions in certain cases

19.     A petition from Councilor Tyer requesting endorsement of proposed legislation that would create a new local option for municipalities to purchase health insurance plans through the Group Insurance Commission (tabled 1-9-07)
