2.         A communication submitting proposed changes to the City Code, Chapter 2, Commission on Disabilities

3.         A communication submitting Orders to authorize and take by eminent domain land owned by Leo E. Laviolette on Tamarack Road

4.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City to enter into a lease agreement with Mass. Fair Housing Center for occupancy in the Pittsfield Family Resource Center

5.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant of funds from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism on behalf of the Samuel Harrison Society

6.         A communication submitting a Resolution authorizing the creation of the Unkamet Brook Opportunity Area, a Resolution authorizing a tax increment financing plan for the Shops at Unkamet Brook Project in the Unkamet Brook Economic Opportunity Area; and an Order approving the Certified Project Application of Berkshire Merrill Road LLC, Pitex Limited Partnership  and Dicks Sporting Goods

12.     A public hearing on the petition from HospiceHouse Berkshire, LLC to amend the City Code, Chapter 23, Zoning, to reclassify land located southeasterly behind 877 South Street from an LDI to R-43  

13.     A public hearing on the petition from HospiceHouse Berkshire, LLC to amend the City Code, Chapter 23, Section 4.3 by the addition of a section to allow access through an LDI district to an R-43 District

COMMUNICATIONS FROM CITY OFFICERS AND BOARDS

14.     A petition from Councilor Costi requesting the Community Development Board petition for a zoning amendment to eliminate the parking requirement  for commercial uses in the Downtown Arts Overlay District

15.     A report of the Traffic Commission on a Traffic Order required to implement certain changes in the traffic regulations on Union Street, recommending approval

16.     A report of the Traffic Commission on a petition from Councilor Lothrop for installation of a four-way stop sign at the intersection of East Housatonic Street and Bartlett Avenue, recommending it not be approved (2-1 vote with 3 affirmative votes necessary for action)

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

17.     A report of the Committee on Community and Economic Development on an Order authorizing the Mayor to submit the Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Annual Action Plan for the 2007-2008 program year, recommending approval

NEW BUSINESS

18.     A petition from Rinaldo DelGallo, III requesting a legal opinion regarding raising the dropout age to18

19.     A petition from Peter Arlos requesting the Health Department make sure that all public buildings are properly posted with “No Smoking” signs

20.     A petition from Peter Arlos asking the Council to vote against any effort to make McKay Street impassible for any period time and against any effort to eliminate parking in the area
