COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYO R

2.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to amend City Council Order No. 75 of the Series of 2009 to increase the appropriated sum from $4,110,000.00 to $4,500,000.00 for Drinking Water System Improvements.

3.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to appropriate $300,000.00 from the Water Enterprise Fund to an account in the Department of Public Utilities / Water Division.

4.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to enter into an agreement with Thomas Pecoraro for the creation of a community garden at 148 and 154 Robbins Avenue.

5.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant in the amount of $10,000.00 from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

6.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept an additional appropriation of funds in the amount of $2,908.00 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety.

7.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant in the amount of $750.00 from the Pittsfield Cultural Council.

8.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant in the amount of $100.00 from the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust.

9.         A communication submitting an Order authorizing the City of Pittsfield to accept a grant of ten (10) sets of junior golf clubs and program materials from the National Recreation and Park Association.

APPOINTMENTS

10.      Appointment of Wayne Ovitt as a Fire Fighter with the Pittsfield Fire Department.

11.      Appointment of Ben Kaplan as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.

12.      Appointment of Nicole Garzino as a member of the Pittsfield Cultural Council.

13.      Appointment of Linda M. Tyer to serve as the City of Pittsfield ’s liaison to the Massachusetts Ethics Commission.

14.      Appointment of Deborah Courtney to serve as Clerk of Committees.

15.      Appointment of Patricia Hogan to serve as Clerk of Committees.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

16.      A public hearing on a petition from Western Massachusetts Electric Company to install one (1) solely owned pole on East Street .

COMMUNICATIONS AND REPORTS FROM CITY OFFICERS AND BOARD

17.      A report from the Committee on Ordinances and Rules on a petition from Councilor Ward requesting that the city adopt MGL Chapter 131, Section 39A, The Berkshire Scenic Mountain Act, recommending that the petition be filed.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

18.      A petition from residents of Lebanon Avenue and Donovan Street for immediate action to correct the sewage odor in their area (tabled December 10, 2009).
