Fourth of July Parade
One of our biggest productions every year
is our live coverage of this Pittsfield tradition. We at PCTV have been
covering this parade live since 1988. This is not only our biggest
production as far as viewership is concerned, but also in crew required,
pre-production, and set-up.
This year marked many firsts for Pittsfield Community Television's coverage of
the parade. It was the first time we had ever used six cameras. It
was time we used a 25 foot camera boom to get out over the crowd. It was
the first time the parade was cablecast on three channels. It was also the
first program recorded digitally.
