Pittsfield Schools Right to Know Interactives

Mobile Production Vehicle Productions

March 9 & 15, 2005
Taconic High School-Pittsfield, MA
This interactive involved every school in Pittsfield at one point or another during the process. The pictures below involved the high schools and the elementary schools.  The guest speaker was located at Taconic High School. He would give his presentation to a camera while all eight elementary school teachers stayed in their respective school libraries and watched the presentation on TV. They were able to not only watch, but they could ask questions of the speaker through our two-way communication system.

The truck just outside of Taconic High School on a bitterly cold day. Shawn Serre goes over last minute adjustments.
This shot shows the live hookups of all eight elementary schools as well as Pittsfield High School. They each got their own monitor so the guest speaker could see every school at the same time. Just prior to air time.
In order to hear the questions from every school we had to use a VCR to tune in each site. Then we would hook the audio out of the VCRs into our sound board. Close up of the monitors at the foot of the stage for the guest speaker. You can see Dan Norton of the Pittsfield Public Schools testing a mic at Crosby Elementary School.
